Canterbury Girls' Secondary College welcomes parent involvement in the College. Parents are able to join The Parents' Association or stand for election to the College Council.
There are many other opportunities for parents to be involved. Such involvement is recognised through the awarding of The Parents House Points Trophy at the end of each year.
This is a unique initiative which invites family members to earn points for their daughter's House by being involved in one or more activity throughout the year. We believe that if parents are involved in the College it will model involvement and engagement for students. It will also result in common positive conversations related to schooling and learning.
Finally, outside the school, parents serve as advocates for the school because they understand the way the school works and because they feel welcome to contribute.
